Virupaksha Temple

Dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Pampa, this is the only temple in Hampi still actively used for worship. Parts of the temple predate the Vijayanagara Empire. Its towering nine-storey gopuram and beautifully painted ceilings depicting scenes from Hindu epics make it a must-visit.

Lotus Mahal

A beautiful two-storied structure combining Hindu and Islamic architectural styles, named for its lotus-like design and elegant arches.

Kadalekalu & Sasivekalu Ganesha

Two massive monolithic statues of Lord Ganesha located on Hemakuta Hill. One is housed in a temple with tall pillars, while the other stands in an open pavilion.

Badavi Linga

A 3-meter-high Shiva Linga that remains partially submerged in water, fed by an ancient channel, creating a unique and sacred atmosphere.

Lakshmi Narasimha

A 6.7-meter-high monolithic statue of Lord Narasimha (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu), seated under the protection of a seven-headed serpent.

Anjanadri Hill

Bhuthanatha Group of Temples

Badami

Badami is known for its stunning rock-cut cave temples carved into red sandstone cliffs. It was the capital of the Chalukya dynasty and is famous for its ancient architecture, Agastya Lake, and scenic surroundings.

Often called the “Cradle of Indian Temple Architecture,” Aihole features over 100 ancient temples showcasing early Chalukyan architectural styles.

Pattadakal

Vijayapura
